Mission

Progress Club II is a women's volunteer service organization that seeks to improve the quality of life in Fayette County through direct hands-on efforts and by raising money to support other organizations.

Projects

We support the following organizations with yearly contributions:

Additionally, we support local community events that focus on children and family, such as Fayette County Memorial Library's Summer Reading Program, Fayette Civic Center's Children's Movie Series, and Better Together's Community Easter Egg Hunt.

Awards

We present two awards annually in the Fayette community. 

Progress Club II Woman of the Year

The Woman of the Year is awarded to a woman in recognition of her contributions to the community. This award is presented at Progress Club II's annual Thanksgiving dinner.

Progress Club II English Scholarship Award

A $500 scholarship is given to the Fayette County High School Senior with the highest average in English. This award is presented at FCHS Honors Night.

History

Fayette Progress Club II was organized in October of 1947 by a group of women interested in creating an educational, social, and civic organization that would be seen as a separate entity from its parent organization, Fayette Progress Club, Inc. For  77 years, Progress Club II has supported the city of Fayette and surrounding areas, often focusing on the community's youth. It is a purpose that today's members happily carry on.
